National Field Sales Manager

Location: Remote with extensive travel required, must be close to a major metropolitan airport

The ideal candidate will have extensive experience with Ulta and a strong background in sales, training, and team management. This role involves leading our field team to achieve sales targets, implementing strategic eventing plans, and providing top-tier education and coaching to our field team members.

Key Responsibilities:

Strategy & Planning

  • Develop and implement long-term strategic plans to drive the growth of the field sales team and achieve company objectives.
  • Deliver budgets for both short and long term, including recruitment and growth plans.
  • Maintain a calendar of activations and events, reporting on key milestones.

Training & Recruitment

  • Recruit, onboard, and train new team members to ensure they are equipped with the necessary knowledge and skills to represent our brand effectively.
  • Develop and implement comprehensive training programs to continually enhance team members' product knowledge and sales techniques.
  • Coach and develop the field team nationally, including performance management if necessary.
  • Continuously analyse geographic opportunities for area recruitment.

Education and Coaching

  • Provide ongoing training and coaching to team members to enhance their sales skills and product knowledge.
  • Foster a positive and motivating team environment, encouraging professional growth and development.
  • Develop incentive plans and competitions to keep the field team motivated and engaged.
  • Work closely with the Retail Education Senior Associate, ensuring the field team are well-versed in all aspects of our product line and brand philosophy.
  • Develop and deliver educational materials and training sessions.

Eventing

  • Design and execute strategic eventing plans to increase brand visibility and drive sales.
  • Coordinate and oversee in-store events, ensuring they are engaging, informative, and aligned with our brand's values and goals.
  • Experience in both Store Generated Events and Corporate Events at Ulta is a must.
  • Support on the execution of Ulta FLC.

KPIs

  • Lead the field team in meeting and exceeding sales targets.
  • Monitor sales performance, analyse data, and adjust strategies as needed to ensure continuous growth.
  • Identify and implement innovative sales-driving initiatives to increase market share and brand presence within Ulta and other retail partners.
  • Collaborate with marketing and product teams to develop promotional strategies that support sales objectives.

Budget Management

  • Closely manage budgets, including expenses and mileage, ensuring efficient use of resources.
  • Track and report on budget performance, making adjustments as necessary to stay within financial constraints.

Key Skills

  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in a similar role within the skincare or beauty industry, with extensive experience working with Ulta.
  • High energy, enthusiasm and a genuine love for Bubble Skincare.
  • Proven track record of achieving sales targets and driving business growth.
  • Strong leadership skills with experience in recruiting, training, and managing a high-performing team.
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to convey complex information in an accessible manner.
  • Exceptional organizational skills with a keen attention to detail.
  • Great budget management and reporting skills, proficient in Microsoft Excel.
  • Ability to travel frequently to various retail locations and events.
