About the Role: Bowler Pons is looking for an experienced network administrator/engineer to join our team of senior professionals providing IT, network engineering, and cybersecurity support to a federal government client.
Responsibilities may include:
Providing network engineering support for a broad range of programs, to include planning, designing, and evaluating various components of the assigned network
Providing specifications for network architecture
Performing needs assessments and evaluating/recommending new technologies to enhance current capabilities
Resolving highly complex problems using application and interpretation of technical knowledge, conceptualizing, and deductive reasoning
Conducting research on and implementing network engineering best practices
Performing engineering analysis of telecommunications alternatives in support of strategic modernization and enhancement efforts for medium and large-scale telecommunication infrastructures
Implementing and configuring specific network solutions to support server requirements, to include load-balancing, virtual private networks, firewalls, Voice over Internet Protocol (VoIP), Internet Protocol Security (IPSec), and cryptographic solutions
Creating and updating technical documentation and providing timely communications regarding network and system availability, performance, and issues
Required Qualifications:
United States citizenship
Bachelor’s degree or higher in an engineering, scientific, or technical discipline
