Network Administrator

Description

We are seeking a Network Administrator to join our team in the Healthcare, Hospitals, and Social Assistance industry, located in BLUE ASH, Ohio. In this role, you will administer the operation of all LAN/WAN-related network services, coordinate and implement network software and hardware upgrades, and troubleshoot network problems. This role offers a contract to hire employment opportunity.

Responsibilities

• Administer the operation of all LAN/WAN-related network services in accordance with company policies and procedures
• Coordinate and implement network software and hardware upgrades
• Troubleshoot and resolve LAN/WAN performance, connectivity, and related network problems
• Maintain network performance through network monitoring, analysis, and performance tuning
• Collaborate with vendors to resolve complex network problems
• Plan layout for new hardware or modifications to existing layout
• Collaborate with other technical staff to ensure high-quality support services to end users
• Maintain confidentiality regarding the information processed, stored, or accessed by the network
• Document network problems and resolutions for future reference
• Assist personnel of other departments as a computer resource
• Oversee the installation of hardware and software
• Provide on-the-job training to new department staff members.
  
  
  

Requirements

• Possess proficiency in networking software and hardware such as Barracuda, Cisco VPN, Wide Area Network, Local Area Network, Microsoft, Cisco Firewall, and Router Configuration
• Must have experience in Firewall administration, Firewall Configuration, and Firewall deployment
• Demonstrated knowledge of networking principles and internet protocols
• Familiarity with Barracuda Spam Filter and Barracuda Spam Firewall
• Experience in healthcare, hospitals, or social assistance industries is preferred
• Ability to troubleshoot, diagnose and resolve hardware, software, and other network and system problems
• Must possess strong analytical thinking and problem-solving skills
• Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, are essential
• Must have a strong commitment to customer service and service provision
• Should be able to work both independently and as part of a team
• Knowledge of data protection and cybersecurity best practices is required
• Must be able to manage multiple tasks and prioritize effectively
• Willingness to keep up-to-date with the latest technologies and industry trends.
