Network Engineer

SNI Companies has partnered with a growing organization in the Metro Denver area in search of a Network Engineer. This position is fully remote.

Network Engineer

Our client is seeking to hire a talented Network Engineer to join their team on a 6-month contract basis with the potential for conversion to permanent employment upon completion of the contract portion of the assignment. This position’s primary responsibilities will be surrounding supporting day-to-day tickets in queue, managing SolarWinds, monitoring, responding to alerts, Visio diagrams, etc.

MINIMUM EXPERIENCE REQUIRED

• 7 Years of experience in the design, configuration, implementation, management, and monitoring of an enterprise network including VOIP and wireless.
• 5 Years of experience in datacenter network architecture and design, network management and network support experience.
• 3 Years of experience designing, architecting, implementing, managing, and monitoring private and public connectivity to multiple cloud providers.
• 3 Years’ hands on experience in design, configuration, and management of enterprise level firewalls.

TECHNICAL SKILLS, KNOWLEDGE, ABILITIES

• Strong understanding of WAN/LAN and transport technologies.
• Demonstrated experience with the Cisco family of products (Nexus/Catalyst switches, Routers, etc.).
• Strong knowledge in routing protocols, specifically EIGRP and BGP.
• In depth experience with QoS and VOIP troubleshooting.
• SD-WAN implementation, migration, and support experience.
• Strong understanding of monitoring tools (SolarWinds preferred).
• Experience managing and troubleshooting wireless technologies.
• Experience working with load balancers and Palo Alto technologies.
• Knowledge of Cisco Unified Communications, ACI and UCS servers.

DESIRED SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE

• B.S. degree or equivalent combination of education, training and/or experience is preferred.
• CCNP certification or equivalent experience is preferred.
