First Brands searching for a Network Engineer who can lead projects, design networks, and implement equipment installation plans based on the company’s specifications and needs, maintain each component of the network, and troubleshoot issues. The Network Engineer will design, configure, install, monitor, and update firewalls, routers, switches, and LAN/WAN/VPN connectivity; develop and implement security policies; establish and maintain network performance; troubleshoot network/application problems; interface with vendors.
Network Engineer Job Duties:
• Design system configurations and connectivity for Cisco and Fortinet hardware, direct system installation, document installation, and enforce system standards.
• Manage vendor relations, including designs, quotes, orders, installations, and troubleshooting.
• Maximize network performance by monitoring performance; troubleshooting network problems and outages; scheduling upgrades; collaborating with network architects\providers on network optimization.
• Establish and enforce policies to ensure network security.
• Report network operational status by gathering and prioritizing information; managing projects. Network Engineer Skills and Qualifications:
• Cisco switches, routers, ASA/FTD firewalls, wireless controllers & APs, Fortinet firewalls, WAPs, & management servers, and other firewalls including Sophos & Palo Alto.
