Position Overview
KNZ is seeking experienced Network Engineer to support Managed Network, Firewall and tools for KNZ clients. The ideal candidate will have experience with network operation center (NOC) or security operation center (SOC). This person must possess strong problem-solving, analytical, and communication skills; demonstrated the capability to work independent, self-starting, & self-motivated while working in a team-oriented, collaborative environment; display the ability to stay calm, positive, and drama-free in fast-paced challenging situations.
Reporting to the Director of Client Services Director, you will be part of a dynamic team of individuals that will support and foster your success in this role.
Primary Responsibilities:
Develop operational configuration
Develop runbooks
Develop processes and procedures based on best practices
Perform remote troubleshooting through proven diagnostic techniques
Analyze and resolve network performance, connectivity and related issues
Manage and perform equipment builds, deploy software patches & upgrades
Create and maintain accurate documentation for internal knowledge base
Root Cause Analysis and Problem Resolution
Actively works to identify and solve repeat issues, improving on existing services or processes where necessary
Demonstrates complete proficiency in problem management
Provide exceptional customer service:
Provide client direction, knowledge and efforts to prevent client technical issues
Maintain client relationships with the company through multiple forms of electronic interactions
Present solutions to technology issues and problems in user-friendly language
Provide clear communication with customers to ensure resolution of all open issues
Qualifications:
5+ years of network engineering /implementation / support / troubleshooting experience
3+ years of experience in Cisco implementation and support in medium to large environments
Experience demonstrating analytical and problem-solving skills
CCNP certified is a plus
B.S. in Computer Science or related discipline
FTD/FMC Admin experience plus
Experience with FTD Threat Prevention configuration/O&M
API integration experience is a plus
Automation experience is a plus
DNA and SolarWinds experience is a plus
Cisco ISE is a plus
Extrahop experience is a plus
Ability to document processes/playbooks/runbooks/configurations
Knowledgeable of ITIL processes

KNZ Solutions is committed to fair and equitable compensation practices. The pay range(s) for this role is listed below and represents base salary range for non-commissionable roles or on target earnings for commissionable roles. Actual compensation packages are based on several factors that are unique to each candidate, including but not limited to job-related skills, depth of experience, relevant certifications and training, and specific work location. Based on the factors above, KNZ Solutions utilizes the full width of the range. The total compensation package for this position may also include eligibility for annual performance bonus, equity, and the benefits listed above.
Base Pay Salary Range:
$80,000 - $115,000 USD
