What YOU Will Do
- Implement and manage Palo Alto security systems, including policy management, threat prevention, and URL filtering.
- Configure and maintain Palo Alto Panorama for centralized security system management and monitoring.
- Manage and troubleshoot Cisco and Palo Alto VPN solutions for secure remote access and site-to-site connectivity.
- Collaborate with cross-discipline teams to implement Access Control Lists (ACL) requests and ensure compliance with organizational security policies.
- Utilize Ansible for automation and orchestration of network tasks (familiarity with Ansible is preferred but not required).
- Support wide-area network (WAN) communication through MPLS and DMVPN technologies.
- Ensure compliance with security standards by implementing access control policies, intrusion prevention systems, and other security best practices.
- Participate in an on-call rotation to resolve critical network issues after regular business hours.
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field (equivalent experience will be considered in lieu of a degree).
- 3-5+ years of experience in network engineering with a strong focus on Cisco and Palo Alto technologies.
- Hands-on experience with Cisco Catalyst, Nexus switches, Cisco ASA, and Firepower routers.
- Experience configuring and managing Palo Alto Panorama and utilizing Palo Alto security features such as App-ID, User-ID, and SSL decryption.
- Familiarity with HSRP and high-availability network configurations.
- Proficiency in routing and switching protocols such as OSPF, BGP, and SD-WAN technologies like Cisco SD-WAN (Viptela).
- Strong understanding of security standards and experience in highly critical network environments.
- Effective communication skills and ability to collaborate across teams.
- Relevant certifications such as CCNP or PCNSE are preferred.
