Network engineering members for the Data Center Consolidation effort must have experience with at least the following:

  • Dynamic routing protocols including implementation and troubleshooting: BGP, OSPF and EIGRP.
  • Architecture of data center networking with Spanning-Tree, HSRP, VRRP, tunneling protocols within a spine-leaf architecture.
  • Implementation and support of data center networking technologies including: VXLAN, VRFs, OTV, VDCs within a Cisco oriented technology stack including Cisco Catalyst, Nexus and ACI products.
  • Network application service deliver focusing on: DNS, DHCP and NTP, preferably delivered using Infoblox' products.
  • Automation of infrastructure delivery focusing on the use of HashiCorp Terraform.
  • Support of IP networks for voice, data and video in a Service Provider environment using SIP, MGCP, RTP, Multicasting, and Unicasting.

Ideally, they will have experience with one or more of the following as well:

  • Quality of Service operation and configuration associated with minimizing the impact of data migrations and replication in support of a data center migration.
  • Migration of application content delivery technologies such as conversion of configuration from Citrix NetScaler to F5 (LTM/GTM).
  • Documentation of network design and implementation for both layer 2 and layer 3 capabilities.
