Scope of Work


Requirements for a dedicated MAC / Racking & Stacking Senior Engineer on-site Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday, and Friday (5 days per week) from 10:00 till 18:00 to perform all requested moves, adds and changes (MAC work), including all copper and fiber terminations, testing, certification, and labeling. Long-term engagement.



Duties


Rack and stack equipment – performing assembly, wiring, and testing tasks listed below in this section according to TKD’s Client’s prescribed procedures associated with the products to be installed. The actual work operations for any given installation job are dependent on the specific equipment being installed and the location and configuration of particular site


Tasks

Senior Onsite Lead Engineer shall perform all the tasks described below:


Receiving Materials

· Accept material delivery at the designated site / location, and perform reasonable inspection associated with in transit damages

· Unpack and perform physical inventory of materials

Assembly and Cabling & Wiring

· Support equipment storage and / or shelving in the assigned location, per instructions

· Mount all in-scope equipment, as requested

· Ground equipment and associated cabinets, per grounding standards

· Insert and seat all circuit packs into equipment shelves

· Create and print labels and / or affix them onto aisle, shelf, and unit surfaces

· Run, terminate, and connect all cables and wires

· Verify integrity and continuity of cabling and wiring

· Dress and otherwise protect cabling and wiring

· Run, terminate, and connect fiber cables to the assigned locations, per documents

provided by customer

· Clean and inspect field-connected fiber

· Apply wet solvent to connector end face to dissolve and remove impurities

· Perform dry clean wipe to remove remaining impurities

· Use scope to inspect fiber for contaminants, chips, cracks and scratches

Note: Depending upon equipment configurations, all cabling assignments and connecting devices may not be required


Testing


· Test all cabling infrastructure to meet equipment manufacturer specifications

· Power up equipment under normal power conditions and verify proper power-up

· Perform basic, standalone tests on the individual equipment units, per manufacturer’s standard installation and test procedures

· Refer to Customer any troubles encountered with Customer-provided equipment

· Maintain test logs and troubleshooting reports
