BCT has teamed up with a Dallas company who is seeking a Network & Systems Administrator for direct hire. In this role, you'll safeguard their critical information, systems, and assets, develop solutions, implement new software/hardware, and support overall IT strategy deployment. You'll lead initiatives, innovate, and take ownership, with ample training provided to become a leader in your field. This role will be onsite in Dallas.
SALARY OFFERED: Up to $90K depending on candidates experience, etc.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Oversee operating systems, security tools, applications, servers, email systems, laptops, desktops, software, and hardware.
- Manage and lead IT projects within larger business initiatives.
- Ensure IT systems provide a commercial edge in foundational sectors.
- Implement analytics and enable faster, innovative business processes.
- Maintain dependable IT infrastructure and networking.
- Communicate project status and achievements with internal/external teams.
- Manage user administration, security permissions, and resource monitoring.
- Monitor and maintain data center health, responding to hardware issues.
- Assist help desk and provide technical support.
- Perform routine audits and manage system upgrades.
- Provide technical specifications for planning and upgrades.
- Implement data protection and disaster recovery processes.
- Resolve desktop application and equipment issues promptly.
- Manage storage planning and database performance.
EXPERIENCE:
- Bachelor's degree in technology/computer science or equivalent experience.
- 5+ years in systems, database, or network administration.
- MS Office Certification required; Cisco Certification preferred.
- Programming languages and operating systems knowledge
- Enterprise backup/recovery, performance-monitoring tools, active directories, virtualization
- Project management, application design/integration, cloud computing (Microsoft Azure DevOps)
- Large-scale distributed systems analysis/repair
- Salesforce, Oracle system administration, MuleSoft integration experience preferred
- Microsoft O365 administration, website applications deployment, Azure cloud environment
- Virtualization (VMWare/equivalent), networking protocols (level one, two, three)
- Linux/Microsoft certifications (a plus)
- Scripting/automation tools
- Helpdesk and IT operations best practices, security, storage, data protection, disaster recovery
