Overview

The salary range for this position is $18.90 per hour and is non-negotiable.

This Statement of Work (SOW) covers the need for the services of college students to provide test and evaluation (T&E) support in the field of Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Network Management and Network Security for the Dolus Project. The purpose of this project is to develop and demonstrate a Command, Control, Communications, Computers, Intelligence (C4I) solution for Medium and Large Unmanned Surface Vehicles (USVs).

The goal of Dolus is to develop and demonstrate medium and large USVs.

  • Dolus will incorporate multiple C4I system and programs of records (PORs) providing capabilities such as Local Area Network (LAN), Cross-Domain Solution (CDS), Line of Sight (LoS) , Satellite Communications (SATCOM) and Positioning, Navigation and Timing (PNT) data.
  • Dolus will integrate with fleet operations to demonstrate an enhanced warfare capability.
  • By using autonomous capability, Dolus will augment manned naval warships and enhance Fleet warfighting effectiveness.
  • Dolus will develop tactics, techniques, and procedures (TTP’s) for follow-on efforts.
  • Dolus is intended to be a “leave-behind” capability for the fleet.

Responsibilities

PERFORMANCE REQUIREMENTS:

  • Reviewing, analyzing and documenting specific operational procedures for existing solutions, and performing feasibility studies for new solutions.
  • Designing, exercising and testing network models.
  • Designing, developing, testing and documenting networking modeling and/or architecture.
  • Collecting test data and criteria to analyze, score, and evaluate.
  • Performing data conversion and coding, and data analysis and data reduction.
  • Writing, testing and documenting code.
  • Installing and integrating software applications and hardware components.
  • Resolving workstation hardware and software challenges.

Qualifications

Undergraduate Student 3: Must have course work in the discipline requested on the task order Statement of Work. The student must be at the Senior level and have experience in 100% of the task requirements and be able to accomplish 90% of the work independently.

Minimum Qualifications

  • Undergraduate Level 2: Mathematics, Physics, Software Engineering, Computer Science, Electrical Engineering or Computer Engineering majors (Junior or Senior)

Desired Qualifications

Desired Qualifications Requirements:

  • Basic knowledge of computer networks
  • Basic knowledge of software development. Python and Linux is a plus.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suit.

  • This position will require the employee to obtain and maintain a DoD Secret security clearance
