Job description:

Our Client is seeking a dynamic and strategic HR Manager to join our leadership team in North America. The ideal candidate will act as a key partner to our leadership team, providing both administrative support and strategic input on business decisions.

This role requires a strong understanding of HR best practices, excellent communication skills, and the ability to manage and support both US and Canadian employees.

Responsibilities:

  • HR Partnership:
  • Act as a strategic partner to the leadership team, contributing to business strategy and decision-making.
  • Provide expert advice and support on HR policies, procedures, and best practices.
  • Foster a positive and productive work environment through effective employee relations.
  • Collaborate with Europe’s HR partners to implement and support global policies and procedures
  • Talent Management:
  • Oversee recruitment and selection processes to ensure the acquisition of top talent
  • Develop and implement talent management strategies to retain and develop employees.
  • Conduct performance management processes, including evaluations, feedback sessions, and development plans.
  • Employee Development:
  • Design and implement training and development programs to enhance employee skills and career growth.
  • Support leadership in identifying high-potential employees and creating succession plans.
  • Support the leadership team during the review process by providing guidance on goal setting, conducting reviews, and tracking the process
  • HR Administration:
  • Manage day-to-day HR administrative tasks, including payroll, benefits administration, and compliance with local labor laws.
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date employee records.
  • Handle employee inquiries and resolve HR-related issues promptly.
  • Be the key go-to person for the NY office for any office-related inquiries
  • Be the POC and manage the HRIS system. Keep up-to-date employee information, reporting, and software tools
  • Build reports to show headcount budget, employee census, and any other HR metrics.
  • Compensation and Benefits:
  • Develop and manage competitive compensation and benefits programs.
  • Conduct market analysis to ensure compensation structures are aligned with industry standards.
  • Communicate benefits programs effectively to employees.
  • Policy Development:
  • Develop and update HR policies and procedures in compliance with local laws and regulations.
  • Ensure consistent implementation and adherence to company policies across the organization.
  • Compliance:
  • Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations.
  • Conduct regular audits and reviews of HR processes to maintain compliance

Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field.
  • Minimum of 5-7 years of HR experience, with at least 3 years in a managerial role.
  • Proven experience as an HR Business Partner or similar role.
  • Strong knowledge of HR best practices and employment laws.
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and leadership skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a hybrid work
