Key Responsibilities
Strategic Leadership: Develop and implement departmental goals and objectives that align with the hospital's mission, vision, and values.
Operational Excellence: Oversee the daily operations of the ED, ensuring efficient workflows, resource optimization, and adherence to the highest standards of patient care and safety.
Team Management: Lead, mentor, and inspire a team of nursing professionals, fostering a culture of collaboration, excellence, and continuous improvement.
Performance Management: Conduct performance evaluations, provide feedback, and create development plans for staff to ensure optimal performance and engagement.
Quality Improvement: Initiate and oversee quality improvement projects to enhance patient outcomes, safety, and satisfaction.
Collaboration: Partner with physicians, ancillary departments, and community organizations to create a seamless continuum of care for patients.
Financial Stewardship: Manage the ED budget, ensuring responsible and efficient use of resources.
Qualifications & Experience
Education:
Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) required
Master's Degree in Nursing (MSN) preferred
Experience:
Minimum of five (5) years of clinical nursing experience
Minimum of two (2) years of progressive management experience in a hospital setting
Licensure/Certification:
Current RN license in the State of Nevada
