Occupational Therapist

Under the general supervision of the Behavioral Health Program Director, the Occupational Therapist understands the importance of active and meaningful participation in all areas of one’s life. Creating an individualized, practical, and strength-based plan for clients served. Our therapists are committed to the success of each client’s personal care goals. We are seeking a licensed occupational therapist to join our growing team of medical professionals. You will be working with patients who are recovering from injuries and disabilities.

Principal Duties And Responsibilities

  • Conducting physical and psychological assessments of clients and developing or following a treatment plan.
  • Assessing the home and work environments of clients and deciding what adjustments are needed.
  • Advising on adaptive equipment to help clients with daily activities.
  • Teamwork Skills.
  • Understanding and training of Gross and Fine Motor Skills.
  • Sensory Integration.
  • Vocational Skills.
  • Ability to communicate orally.
  • Ability to communicate in writing.
  • Ability to work effectively with others.
  • Ability to work with an ethnically, linguistically, culturally, economically, and socially diverse population.
  • Comfortable using a computer for various tasks.
  • Developing physical rehabilitation programs to help clients regain lost skills.
  • Preparing clients for a return to work.
  • Educating caregivers and family members of clients on patient care.
  • Evaluating results and progress of occupational therapy on clients.
  • Maintaining professional knowledge and technical progress to provide clients with the best treatment program available.
  • Complying with federal, state, and local certification requirements.
  • Evaluating patient condition regarding physical and basic mental health.
  • Attends all required leadership training meetings.
  • Completes documentation as required.
  • Maintains all updated credentials standards and trainings.
  • Performs related duties assigned.

  • Excellent interpersonal communication skills
