Requirements:

  • Bachelors/Masters degree in occupational therapy from an accredited college or university
  • Current Texas state license
  • Experience in pediatrics required.
  • Clinical/Practicum hours completed.
  • Home health experience preferred.
  • Bilingual in Spanish a plus

Responsibilities:

  • Provide skilled occupational therapy services in the home or daytime facility of patients 0-21 years of age, 2 or more times per week, in accordance with physician orders.
  • Define patients' degree and type of physical, fine motor, and sensory impairment(s) by selecting and administering the most appropriate testing instruments.
  • Interpret diagnostic data and prepare written diagnostic reports.
  • In collaboration with the multi-disciplinary team, plan and evaluate team goals for each patient as well as advise, consult, and instruct the team in specific occupational therapy modalities and interventions.
  • Plan for and modify care to meet goals of occupational therapy interventions.
  • Educate staff, caregivers, and patients by designing and delivering training, printed material/resources and in-service programs in accordance with a total occupational therapy program.
  • May provide supervision to Certified Occupational Therapy Assistants
