Occupational Therapist - Part Time
Pediatric Therapy
The Occupational Therapist will:
Evaluates and assesses patient with neuromuscular, musculoskeletal, cardiac, and/or respiratory diseases and/or disabilities to determine their level of function. Develops and performs therapeutic treatment programs that reflect age appropriate activities and documents findings. Provides care to patients of all age groups from pediatrics up to and including geriatrics. Communicates and works closely with Medical Staff and other healthcare professionals. Participates in clinical education programs and departmental program development in assigned areas. Practices in accordance with professional Code of Ethics.

The Occupational Therapist will:

Requirements:
- Requires a masters or doctoral degree, graduate of an entry-level masters or doctorate program in Occupational from a college or university accredited by the Accreditation Council For Occupational Therapy Education (ACOTE).
- Requires a current New Jersey State license and registration in Occupational Therapy or eligibility.
- Previous experience preferred but not necessary. New graduates acceptable.
- Requires analytic ability, use of independent judgment and sufficient interpersonal and communication skills for interaction with patients, families, students, peers and other health care professionals.
- Requires up to three (3) months of orientation to acquire necessary familiarity with Departmental and Hospital policies and treatment procedures.
- BLS Certification required, as approved by the American Heart Association.
