About The Position
Virtus Healthcare Staffing is conducting a search for a qualified Occupational Therapist (OT) to join our partner, a leading Level 3 trauma center in Lewiston, Idaho. In this role, you will play a vital part in the rehabilitation team, working with patients to improve their functional abilities and independence following illness, injury, or disability.
Responsibilities
Conduct comprehensive occupational therapy evaluations to assess patients' physical, cognitive, and sensory-motor skills.
Develop individualized treatment plans focused on improving patients' ability to perform activities of daily living (ADLs), such as bathing, dressing, and eating.
Utilize various occupational therapy techniques to help patients regain lost skills or learn new ways to perform tasks.
Educate patients, families, and caregivers on how to support the patient's recovery process.
Document progress and collaborate with other healthcare professionals to ensure a coordinated approach to care.
Maintain a positive and encouraging environment to motivate patients throughout their rehabilitation journey.
Qualifications
Master's degree in Occupational Therapy from an accredited program.
Valid license to practice Occupational Therapy in the State of Idaho.
Minimum 1-2 years of experience in a hospital or acute care setting (preferred).
Strong clinical reasoning and assessment skills.
Experience developing and implementing individualized treatment plans.
Excellent communication, collaboration, and interpersonal skills.
