Help fix the user experience in global trade

The Opportunity:

To continue our global expansion and enhance our ocean freight pricing operations, we are looking for an Associate to own and refine our ocean pricing strategy for specific tradelanes. This role is critical in setting standardized ocean tariffs, designing ocean service offerings, and generating go-to-market strategies that drive profitability and scalability. By developing and improving algorithmic pricing strategies and working closely with procurement, commercial, and technology teams, this position will ensure our pricing is market-competitive and value-representative. The ultimate goal is to deliver globally optimized results for the Ocean P&L and support our overall growth objectives.

You will:

• Own the ocean pricing strategy for a particular tradelane across all offerings
• Own the setting of standardized ocean tariffs and the implementation of them in internal systems
• Design standardized products and generate customized go-to-market strategies for customers
• Develop and improve algorithmic pricing strategies ensuring scalability
• Interface with procurement and commercial teams to drive profitable business
• Interface with revenue management teams to determine pricing policies, pricing tools, and reporting needs
• Interface with technology teams to develop internal tools to usher in next generation pricing algorithms and strategies
• Implement rigorous review rhythms to ensure market-competitive and value-representative pricing enabling commercial growth
• Work across Procurement, Pricing, Planning, and District Management teams to deliver globally optimized results to the Ocean P&L
  
  

You should have:

• 2+ years of prior Ocean Freight experience at a top freight forwarder or carrier or 2+ years of supply chain experience and a BA/BS Degree
• Strong analytical, quantitative, and financial skillset
• Experience in data visualization tools (SQL, Power BI, Looker, Tableau) and the desire to create data assets to drive action
• Strategic vision and ground floor execution
• Bias to action, process, structure and data
• Excellent communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills
• An obsession with client happiness. You succeed when they succeed
• Ability to travel regionally, nationally, and internationally

The range displayed on each job posting reflects the minimum and maximum target for new hire salaries for the position across all US locations. Our salary ranges are determined by role, level, and location. Within the range displayed, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education and / or training.

The US base salary range for this position: (exclusive of bonus, equity and benefits.) $72,000 - $80,000 USD
