About The Job

This position is responsible for the Dallas market and supports other territories as needed . This person must be located in Dallas, TX or nearby and will be reporting into the Director, On-Premise.

As On-Premise Manager you will be responsible for delivering sales & distribution goals for on-premise accounts in the Dallas area including nightclubs, bars, restaurants, hotels, casinos and Quick Service Restaurants (QSR). You will be out in the field often and will use your ability to negotiate and influence accounts and DP’s into selling the entire Liquid Death portfolio. You’re passionate about building a brand upon your existing network and love creating and maintaining relationships.

This person will have the 75% hunter / 25% farmer mentality of being able to consistently hunt down new accounts while sustaining and “farming” on-going relationships with existing accounts. This person’s traits include “acting like an owner”, ability to “challenge the status quo”, and seeing the “bottle half full”. This person will ideally have a passion for on-premise accounts and strong relationships with top “hot spots” and distributors in Dallas to optimize sales and distribution.

Responsibilities

  • Complete ownership of the on-premise universe in assigned territory including identifying all relevant target accounts and managing distributor non buys to close gaps and drive sales
  • Create, build and maintain strong partnerships with Distributors and Accounts to grow the Liquid Death Portfolio in assigned territory
  • Apply company sales strategies in key markets to dominate the premium water category
  • Communicate to our Distributor Partners to execute account distribution opportunities, deliveries and required execution with upcoming promotional programs and activities
  • Work closely with Regional Sales Manager and Leadership team to ensure streamlined communication is received up
  • In Trade with Distributor Partner’s Sales team three to four days per week to educate teams and execute Liquid Death portfolio
  • Build strong local level relationships with key decision makers for regional on-premise accounts in territory
  • Engage with on-premise account staff to educate and create in account “brand ambassadors”
  • Expanding distribution in on-premise, maximizing SKU availability and in account execution to include visibility and menu placements to drive sales
  • 8-15 calls/visits per day depending on geography and initiatives

Knowledge, Skills, & Experience

Education & Experience:

  • Bachelor’s Degree preferred or equivalent in Business or Sales Marketing
  • Minimum of 4 years of sales experience within the beverage and distributor sales environment preferred
  • 2- 3 years proven track record of building and opening new business
  • Has an existing network within the Dallas region and strong relationships with distributors in region
  • Successful track record of driving sales within a high-growth environment in the on-premise channel
  • Willing to work on weekends and nights often and ability to travel 25% of the time

Essential Knowledge, Skills And Abilities

  • Proficient in speaking Spanish and English
  • Valid driver's license
  • Clean Motor Vehicle Record (MVR) with no major violations
  • Proficient in VIP/Karma, Neilson, IRI preferred
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, and PowerPoint) and Google Suite (Sheets, Docs, Slides)
  • Adaptable and quick to learn new processes and tools
  • Ability to multi-task within ambiguity in a startup environment
  • A track record of performance meeting targets and objective
  • Self-directed, goal-oriented and flexible, enjoying working in a fast-paced and at times challenging environment
  • Ability to work cross-functionally and with a wide range of employees with different skill sets
  • Strong organizational, interpersonal, and communication skills (written and verbal).
  • Great social skills with the ability to build relationships quickly
  • Collaborative, open, flexible
  • Excellent negotiator & influencer, preferably with distribution partners
  • Curious. Forward thinker. Owner mentality

Physical Demands

  • Ability to work nights and weekends
  • Travel up to 25%
  • Trade Shows & Events – ability to walk, sit, and stand for long periods of time
  • Ability to stand in store and sit in a vehicle for extended periods of time
  • Ability to carry equipment and product up to 50lbs

The typical salary range for this position is : $69k - $85k.
