Operations Manager

Forge Graphic Works is a group of highly skilled, creative thinkers who design and produce retail graphics and consumer experiences. We do work for big brands and small companies alike, specializing in designing and printing large retail campaigns, event graphics, retail displays and other marketing programs. We work hard but have fun designing and making really cool stuff.

As Operations Manager you will be a key leader in the organization and be involved in strategic planning and decision making as it relates to staffing, development, capacity planning and costing of print / fabrication operations. This position will provide the leadership and strategic decision making needed to ensure basic business expectations of the company are met and efficiency goals, quality levels, and service levels are achieved. You will lead a team of managers within the company and be a change agent responsible for achieving manufacturing excellence while maintaining core company culture.

Responsibilities:

·     Must demonstrate leadership and use tactical decision making that aligns with company business strategies

·     Play a key role in developing a culture of high energy and positivity

·     Working with our production manager, manage and oversee fabrication projects, including estimating, planning, production and installation

·     Maintain appropriate staffing levels and predict growth & development of individual departments

·     Manage scheduling / hiring of all staff to ensure customer deadlines are met

·     Aide in the development and evaluation of workflow systems, improving or upgrading as opportunities arise

·     Drive evaluation of new material solutions with a focus on efficiency, profitability and sustainability

·     Lead safety committee and delegate daily, weekly & monthly tasks to team members

·     Lead SGP certification team and ensure all certification requirements are met

·     Act as building GM and ensure all maintenance and inspections are current

Required skills:

·     Extensive knowledge of wood, metal and plastic fabrication techniques and materials in the retail / display industry

·     Ability to lead large teams and hold team members accountable

·     Demonstrate high energy and positivity

·     Must collaborate effectively with internal and external teams, while also exercising judgement when working independently

·     Able to coordinate work of several departments to meet specific goals

·     Must be able to create, understand, and present budgets, forecasting, and metrics

·     Ability to multi-task in a fast paced, demanding environment

·     Must have a good understanding of all printing and design technologies, processes, and materials
