Storm Search is seeking a Operations Supervisor in the Lewistown, PA area for a leading manufacturing company. This is a Direct Hire job opportunity offering a competitive starting salary, room for growth, and an excellent benefits package.
Position Objective:
Maintain standards of Safety, Quality, and Efficiency on assigned shift.
Qualifications:
High school graduate or equivalent
Available for overtime
Available to train on different machinery and lines
Mechanical aptitude
Training:
Ability to train on different lines with a trainer
Previous training as a machine operator or printer
Duties and Responsibilities:
Comply with all safety rules and wear personal protective equipment
Ensure adherence to company rules by employees
Cover overtime shifts and manage shift coverage
Ensure consistent adherence to overtime policies, review deviations with manager
Guide workforce to achieve production standards, monitor and correct poor performance
Ensure disciplinary action is taken consistently to correct performance
Review quality checklists to ensure proper checks
Review line speed versus standard to meet production goals, explain deviations
Schedule employees to appropriate machines
Conduct employee evaluations, set goals for performance improvement
Schedule vacations for the shift
Ensure daily employee exception report is filled out
Ensure temporary employees fill out their time sheets
Perform shift safety meetings
Complete accident investigations and fill out correct forms and paperwork
