Job Description: Organizational Change Manager


Overview: The Organizational Change Manager (OCM) at MTA’s New York City Transit Adjudication Bureau (TAB) is responsible for managing business process improvement and training activities to ensure the successful adoption of strategic initiatives aimed at improving operational procedures. Working directly with the TAB Executive Director, this role requires a strategic thinker with a passion for change management and a strong ability to effectively communicate and engage stakeholders at all levels of the organization.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Develop and implement change management strategies to support the adoption of new processes, technologies, and organizational structures within the Transit Adjudication Bureau.

2. Conduct stakeholder analysis to identify key processes and develop tailored communication and engagement plans to ensure buy-in and support for change initiatives.

3. Collaborate with TAB Strategic Operations Project Manager, contractors, and other key project team leads to integrate change management activities into project plans and ensure alignment with project goals and objectives.

4. Provide training and support to TAB management and contractors to help them effectively lead their teams through periods of transformation.

5. Design and deliver training programs to equip staff with the knowledge, documentation, and skills needed to successfully navigate change.

6. Monitor the impact of change initiatives on organizational performance and staff morale and implement corrective actions as needed.

7. Implement a structure for continuous improvement of operations.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in business administration, Management, or related field required;

• Minimum of 3 years of experience in change management, preferably in a complex, fast-paced environment.

• Demonstrated ability to develop and execute strategies that drive successful adoption of change in large and complex organizations.

• Strong interpersonal and influencing skills with the ability to build relationships and collaborate effectively with stakeholders at all levels.

• Excellent communication skills, including the ability to effectively communicate complex ideas and concepts to diverse audiences.

• Knowledge of change management and training methodologies and tools.

• Experience working in the public sector industry is a plus.
