This position involves running a Medication Clinic and acting as a case manager, with a focus on actively communicating with clinical doctors and customer relations specialists to ensure our clients receive the best care possible. The role requires a Monday through Thursday schedule with a Saturday rotation, and travel to Eastern locations may be necessary for nurse coverage.

$1,500 for Medical Assistants
Additional $2,500 for Nurses
Responsibilities
Plan, organize, and coordinate the medication clinic.
Cross-train to assist in other clinics and regions, with travel coordinated by the Supervisor.
Review medication education forms with clients and assess their need for medication refills.
Complete all required documentation regarding the medication clinic and psychiatric consultations for EHR.
Administer IM medication, dispense samples, and maintain accurate logs on all medications received and dispensed.
Assist with prior authorization, maintain injection lists, verify orders, and discuss any side effects with clients.
Conduct pre-visit nursing assessments, including taking patient histories and vital signs, and document in patient charts.
Complete metabolic screens, medication possession ratio checks, and other quality interventions, documenting in charts.
Perform venipunctures and other procedures as directed.
Follow medication refill protocols and document accordingly.
Screen telephone callers for appropriate referrals and relay messages as needed.
Maintain patients' files, records, and other information.
Adhere to standard precautions and maintain cleanliness of unit facilities and equipment.
Monitor and order medical supplies and laboratory needs as necessary.
Qualifications
High School diploma or GED required.
Practical Nursing Certificate or Associate/Bachelor's degree in nursing required.
Work Experience/Training/Additional Requirements
At least two (2) years of equivalent work experience required if an associate’s degree or medical assistant certification is not obtained.
Preferred two (2) years of medical office experience.
Knowledge of medical office terminology, procedures, and equipment preferred.
Familiarity with Microsoft Office Suite preferred.
Licensure/Certification
Medical Assistant Certification required if at least two years of college or equivalent work experience is not obtained.
If Licensed Practical Nurse, a license issued in Missouri is required.
LPN, RN, or GPN/GN must pass the MO NCLEX exam within 90 days of graduation.
