Are you ready to put your experience to work at Northrop Grumman? If so, our Defense Systems Sector is seeking experienced personnel with aircraft supply support background to support a maintenance program with Customs and Border Protection (CBP) in Jacksonville, FL.
The CBP P-3 fleet consists of Airborne Early Warning (AEW) and Long-Range Tracker (LRT) high-endurance, all-weather, tactical turbo-prop aircraft. The AEW aircraft are utilized primarily for long-range patrols along the entire U. S. border, and in source and transit zone countries. The LRT aircraft are used to intercept, track airborne and surface threats in source and transit zone countries. The P-3 aircraft are equipped with state-of-the-art, highly sophisticated sensor equipment, i.e., radar, electro-optical and infrared (EO/IR) detecting systems.
We need you to Join Our Team as a SCA General Support Equipment Mechanic. This position is in Jacksonville, FL. CBP P-3 Maritime Operations Cecil Field.
The above salary range represents a general guideline; however, Northrop Grumman considers a number of factors when determining base salary offers such as the scope and responsibilities of the position and the candidate's experience, education, skills and current market conditions.
Employees may be eligible for a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives. In addition, Northrop Grumman provides a variety of benefits including health insurance coverage, life and disability insurance, savings plan, Company paid holidays and paid time off (PTO) for vacation and/or personal business.

We need you to Join Our Team as a SCA General Support Equipment Mechanic. This position is in Jacksonville, FL. CBP P-3 Maritime Operations Cecil Field.
- This is a Service Contract Act position.
- This position will rotate shifts based on the operational need of the Program.
- Advises and trains lower grade workers on diagnosis and repairs of less complex repair/maintenance problems, inspects and approves completed maintenance actions, solves problems by studying drawings, wiring diagrams and schematics, and technical publications.
- Use automated maintenance data systems to monitor maintenance trends, analyze equipment requirements, maintain equipment records, and document maintenance actions.
- Analyze, diagnose, and repair GSE using conventional and digital multi-meters, voltmeters, ohmmeters, frequency counters, oscilloscopes, circuit card testers, transistor testers, and hand tools.
- Maintain external fuel and grounding systems, perform scheduled and unscheduled maintenance on GSE, inspect, test, and operate GSE to determine equipment serviceability and proper operation, service equipment with fuel, oil, water, coolant, hydraulic fluid, refrigerant, and compressed air, diagnose mechanical and electronic circuitry malfunctions using visual and auditory senses, test equipment, and technical publications.
- Disassembles and assembles of malfunctioning GSE accessories and components, remove, disassemble, repair, clean, treats for corrosion, assemble, and reinstall GSE components and accessories, stencil and mark GSE in accordance with technical publications, store, handle, label, use, and dispose of hazardous materials and waste in accordance with all state, local, and federal environmental standards and regulations.
- Prepare GSE for storage and mobility deployment; and operate, clean, inspect, and service towing vehicles.
- Maintain vehicle records, maintain and update paper and electronic equipment records, provide dispatch service for GSE, including positioning equipment to support aircraft maintenance and flying operations, practice good housekeeping, tool control, Foreign Object Damage (FOD) prevention, and safety always.
- A minimum of 3 years of recent experience related to the operation, maintenance, repair, and servicing of aviation support equipment and a High School diploma or equivalent.
- Ability to obtain/maintain a valid US Passport.
- Ability/willingness to change work shifts in order to support the operation of the program.
- Ability to travel as required to support program needs at multiple locations.
- Familiar with all ground operational equipment used to service, tow, and maintain the P-3 type aircraft.
- Familiar with flight line operations in support of mission requirements.
- Ability to obtain/maintain a successful background investigation from the U.S. Customs and Border Protection.
- ASE master mechanic certificate.
- Welding certificate.
- A current US Customs and Border Protection Background Investigation.
