Base pay range
The salary is ranging between $55-75k (negotiable) plus bonuses. This is a full-time, permanent position offering full benefits, PTO, and other perks.
The ideal candidate will have a strong background in assisting attorneys with the preparation and management of estate planning documents, including wills, trusts, power of attorney, conservatorships, and advance health care directives.
Key Responsibilities: Assist attorneys with the drafting, preparation, and review of various estate planning documents, including wills, revocable and irrevocable trusts, advance health care directives, and powers of attorney. Conduct legal research on relevant statutes, regulations, and case law related to estate planning and administration. Communicate with clients to gather necessary information and documentation for the preparation of estate planning documents. Coordinate the execution of estate planning documents, including notarization and witnessing requirements. Organize and maintain client files and databases, ensuring accuracy and confidentiality of all information. Assist attorneys with the administration of trusts, including asset transfers, distributions, and compliance with legal requirements. Prepare and file probate documents, as needed, and assist with probate administration. Provide general administrative support to attorneys, including scheduling appointments, managing calendars, and corresponding with clients and third parties. Stay updated on changes in estate planning laws and regulations to ensure compliance and provide informed assistance to attorneys and clients. Collaborate with other members of the legal team to provide exceptional service and support to clients.
Qualifications: Minimum of 2 years of experience working as a paralegal in a law firm Associate degree in Paralegal Studies or related field preferred. Strong knowledge of estate planning principles, procedures, and documentation. Proficiency in legal research, document drafting, and case management software. Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail. Ability to prioritize tasks, manage multiple projects simultaneously, and meet deadlines. Exceptional communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to interact professionally with clients and colleagues. Commitment to maintaining confidentiality and handling sensitive information with discretion. Proactive attitude with a willingness to learn and adapt in a fast-paced legal environment. Paralegal certification or willingness to obtain certification preferred.
