PARALEGAL (HYBRID) POSITION

A growing national personal injury law firm, has an immediate opening for a hybrid paralegal. The ideal candidate will be able to provide assistance through all phases of the litigation process, in various state and federal courts across the country, and will use excellent customer service, communication, and organizational skills to provide administrative support.

This hybrid position requires a minimum of 3 days on-site in Center City, Philadelphia, with 2 days working remotely.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Greet and welcome visitors.
  • Open, scan, and distribute mail.
  • Send out outgoing mail.
  • Photocopy, file, and Fedex packages.
  • Assist with answering a multi-line phone and completing new client intakes.
  • Communicate with clients, opposing counsel, court personnel, and experts in a professional and proficient manner
  • Day-to-day case management duties
  • Assisting with the preparation, filing, and service of pleadings, including Complaints, Motions, and Briefs
  • Request and obtain medical records
  • Draft correspondence, demand packages, and pleadings
  • Coordinating the collection, review, and production of documents and responding to discovery requests, including Interrogatories, Requests for Production of Documents, Requests for Admissions, etc.
  • Assist with trial preparation

Education and Experience Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s Degree and/or Paralegal certificate, from an ABA-accredited program preferred, or a combination of education and/or experience
  • 2-3 years experience as a civil litigation paralegal/legal assistant in a law firm setting, preferred
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel & Outlook)
  • Proficiency with various software programs: Office 365, Sharepoint, Pacer, Adobe, Microsoft teams and Westlaw, preferred
  • Experience in the following states is preferred, but not required: Pennsylvania, California, New York, New Jersey, and Florida
  • Ability to be on-site in Center City, Philadelphia, a minimum of 3 days per week.
  • Willingness to undergo a background check.
