Requirements
- Knowledge of the practice, methods and materials used in the maintenance, repair and testing of garages and lots equipment.
- Ability to determine repair and adjust needs of garage equipment.
- Ability to work from oral and written instructions.
- Skills in using small hand or power tools.
- Possession of a valid Florida Driver’s License and satisfactory driving record for the past three years.
- Sufficient physical strength and ability to perform heavy manual labor.
- Basic computer skills and ability to work on internal computer program.
- Ability to communicate effectively in English and Spanish (verbally)
- Basic knowledge and able to work with Microsoft software (excel, word).
- Patrols off-street parking facilities conducting facility inspections, identifying/correcting hazards, rendering light maintenance providing exemplary customer service to facility patrons.
- Does daily patrols in all garages and lots, collect used tickets, refill equipment with tickets, receipt paper, ink, etc.
- Tests and troubleshoots the equipment such as pay stations, entry and exit verifiers.
- Assists with light mechanical repairs and maintenance or repairs of arm gates.
- Assures that the automatic gate and ticket dispensing equipment is operating in harmony with overall operation of parking garage.
- Operates small machinery: pressure wash, gas blower, sweeper and cord drills.
- Light painting and painting touch ups as well as assisting in the covering/removal of graffiti on signs and common areas of facilities.
- Conducts daily visual inspections of elevators for vandalism or other signs of damage that need repair.
- Conducts facility inspections of the assigned facilities.
- Performs general custodial duties, including picking up liter on the exterior ground of facilities as well as sweeping or blowing sidewalk and driveways in common areas of the facilities.
- Performs general duties, including installation of small parking signs in fence, a frames or garage decks.
- Erects barricades and places parking direction signs as necessary.
- Ability to fills out daily report of duties performed on paper or a digital device (tablets, computer)
- Daily opening and closure of assigned facilities.
- Operates operational computer software on assigned devices (tablets, computer, etc.)
- Conducts light maintenance within the facility on a variety of items.
- Performs related duties as required.
