Position Summary

Cambrian College’s Douglas A. Smith Family School of Business requires part-time Professors to teach within various programs beginning September 2024.

Individuals will teach in one or more of the following courses:

• Law and Estate Planning – FIN1305
• Intermediate Accounting – ACC1028
• Intermediate Management Accounting – ACC1128
• Intermediate Accounting III – ACC1030
• Intro to Managerial Accounting – ACC1722
• Intermediate Accounting II – ACC3722
• Workshop on Accounting Cases – ACC4725
• Spreadsheets for Business – ISP3026
• Business Research Methods – BUS1111
• Facilities Management – HRM1027
• Integrated Marketing Communications – MKT1020
• Startup Marketing and Operations – BUS1242
  
  

Duties and Responsibilities

Required

• Must have a minimum of a three-year diploma or degree or a related field. (A copy of educational documents must be submitted with application *** education completed outside of Canada, applicants are required to submit a WES or ICAS with their application).
• Minimum of two years of industry experience.
• Ability to relate and communicate positively, effectively, and professionally with others and function effectively within a team environment.
• Ability to provide leadership and mentorship and be an effective role model in the classroom.
• Ability to utilize creative teaching approaches and current and emerging teaching and learning strategies to enhance student success.
• Demonstrated ability to use a variety of educational technologies, including in-class media presentation systems, learning management systems, and other relevant classroom technologies.
• Ability to work with students from diverse educational, religious, and cultural backgrounds.
• Solid commitment to students and education.
• Excellent written communication skills and exceptional interpersonal skills.
• Strong computer literacy and effective critical thinking and organizational skills.
  
  

Additional Assets/Preferred

• Master’s degree in a related field
• CPA Designation
• Previous teaching experience at the postsecondary level.
