The compensation will be based on a percentage of collections.Job Overview:Serve as a key member of the legal team, specializing in patent law.Work closely with clients to protect their intellectual property rights through patent applications, prosecution, and litigation.Duties:Conduct thorough patent searches and analyses to determine patentability and infringement issues.Draft and prosecute patent applications before the United States Patent and Trademark Office (USPTO).Provide legal counsel and advice on patent-related matters to clients.Conduct patent litigation and enforcement actions when necessary.Collaborate with inventors, engineers, and other professionals to understand and protect their innovations.Requirements:Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree from an accredited law school.Admission to the state bar in Ohio.Bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering, electrical engineering, or chemical engineering.7-10 years of experience practicing patent law.Strong understanding of patent laws, regulations, and procedures.Certifications:Patent Bar admission preferred.Skills:Excellent written and verbal communication skills.Strong analytical and research abilities.Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment.Attention to detail and accuracy.Proficiency in legal research and drafting legal documents.Experience with patent litigation is a plus.Benefits:401(k) retirement plan.Contributions to health and dental plans.Subsidized gym membership.Disability coverage.
