Our core competencies include drug metabolism, pharmacokinetics/ pharmacodynamics (PK/PD), safety and toxicology, bioanalytical services, chemistry and manufacturing controls for drug development, and core laboratory services for clinical trials.
Our Chicago, IL site provides toxicology testing and research laboratory services and specialized pre-clinical studies in support of pharmaceutical and biotechnology products.
Position/Job Summary
We are currently looking for a Pathology Coordinator who will be an integral member of the pathology management team. The Pathology Coordinator will be responsible for maintaining detailed department schedules and working closely with laboratory leadership and pathologists to ensure sponsor expectations are exceeded in all facets of the department. The Pathology Coordinator will work closely with the VP of Pathology and other senior team members to develop and deliver a world-class pathology experience. The ideal candidate will have very strong computer skills and a willingness to work independently to solve problems and create solutions.

Roles & Responsibilities
- Maintain departmental schedules and coordinate activities with stakeholders including study directors, the histology manager, pathologists, and sponsors.
- Prepare Pathology report templates for the Pathologists and provide quality control review of draft reports.
- Prepare and maintain quality control metrics for the pathology department.
- Develop and maintain tools to measure department productivity, throughput, and profitability.
- Support client services in preparation of pathology-related quotes as needed.
- Develop processes and procedures for the efficient administration and on-time delivery of pathology reports.
- Strong computer skills (e.g., Microsoft Office Suite), commensurate with essential functions.
E ducation, Experience & Skills Required :
- Bachelor’s degree
- Minimum 2 years’ experience working in a fast-paced office environment.
- Very strong, effective written and oral communication skills, including the ability to organize and clearly present data.
- Ability to manage multiple projects, demonstrate consistent productivity, and meet project timelines.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively.
