Patient Placement Coordinator

Overview

The Patient Placement Coordinator is responsible for coordinating, prioritizing and optimizing all patient bed assignments within the hospital setting. Functions independently and in concert with clinical staff. Serves as a liaison to physicians, nursing, support staff within and outside the organization.

Qualifications

Required Education:

High School Diploma or GED

Necessary Skills:

Must be familiar with an acute hospital environment. Must possess good organizational skills. Must possess excellent communication skills. Must possess the ability to anticipate and solve problems. Must possess outstanding customer service skills. PC skills are required with a strong working knowledge of Microsoft Office products.

Required Experience:

1-2 years of acute care facility experience .

Preferred Experience:

1-2 years of experience in a hospital admissions office or Bed Control department preferred. Epic (Electronic Medical Record) experienced highly preferred.
