Base pay range

$36.61/hr - $54.92/hr
MRH Rehab is looking for a full-time mixed setting Inpatient adult/Outpatient pediatrics & adult occupational therapist who values patient care, team collaboration and has a growth mindset. We offer 45 minute one-on-one treatments, 1 hour evaluations and paid documentation time in a fun and professional environment. We value work/life balance and offer 4 day work weeks.

MRH is located in Craig, Colorado, just 45 miles west of Steamboat Springs, CO Ski Resort. Essential Functions And Basic Duties

Position Specific Performance Expectations:

Meets the patient's goals and needs and provides quality care by assessing and interpreting evaluations and test results; determining occupational therapy treatment plans in consultation with physicians and interdisciplinary team.

Helps patient develop or regain physical or mental functioning or adjust to disabilities by implementing programs involving practice in functional, prevocational, vocational, and homemaking skills, activities of daily living, and sensorimotor, educational, recreational, and social activities.

Issue adaptive equipment and customized splints, as deemed necessary.

Promotes maximum independence by selecting and constructing therapies according to individual's physical capacity, intelligence level, and interest.

Evaluates results of occupational therapy by observing, noting, and evaluating patient's progress; recommending and implementing adjustments and modifications.

Completes discharge planning by consulting with physicians, nurses, social workers, and other health care workers; contributing to patient care conferences.

Documents patient care services via EMR charting using 'defensible documentation' in a timely and concise manner, in compliance with industry standards.

Maintains professional and technical knowledge by attending educational workshops; reviewing professional publications; establishing personal networks; participating in professional societies.

Develops rehab and hospital staff by providing information; developing and conducting in-service training.

Complies with federal, state & local legal and certification requirements by studying existing and new legislation; anticipating future legislation; enforcing adherence; advising management on needed actions.

Strives to: promote health, create a safe and effective treatment environment, motivate others, have a good bedside manner, listen, analyze information, and be quality focused.

Participates in ongoing professional development to maintain a level of clinical practice consistent with best practice standards. This includes seeking opportunities to gain new knowledge and skills and utilizing these newly acquired skills in the provision of care and for growth and development of the department and hospital.

Critically assesses self to improve clinical and professional performance.

Advocates for the occupational therapy profession.

School-based occupational therapists (in addition to above expectations): Collaborate with the school-based team to help determine and carryout Individualized Education Programs (IEPs); identify a student's annual goals and determine the services, supports, modifications, and accommodations that are required for the student to achieve them.

Home health physical therapists (in addition to above expectations): Provide in-home occupational therapy services to homebound patients and work in collaboration with the home health interdisciplinary team.

Performs other duties assigned.

Completes annual education, training, in-service, and licensure/certification requirements; attends departmental and organizational staff meetings or reads meeting minutes.

Reports to work on time and as scheduled; completes work within designated timeframes.

Establishes and maintains effective verbal and written communication and good working relationships with all patients, staff and vendors.

Utilizes initiative; strives to maintain steady level of productivity; self-motivated; manages activity & time.

Actively participates in departmental and facility performance improvement and continuous quality initiatives.

Qualifications

Minimum Requirements:

Must be at least 16 years of age (21 for driving positions)

Must be able to legally work in the United States

Must be able to pass a background check

Must be able to pass a drug screen and breath alcohol test (if applicable)

Must complete employee health meeting

Education/Licensure/Certification

Active Colorado Occupational Therapy License (DORA) or valid compact license

Current CPR(BLS) certification (within 90 days of hire per MRH Policy)

Valid Driver's License (Home Health only)
