Insomnia Cookies is looking for an People (HR) Manager to join our fast-paced & dynamic People Department. As our People Manager, you will implement best practices, and drive efficiencies across HR processes. You will have the opportunity to collaborate across all levels on a variety of people-focused projects & initiatives. You will coach & counsel field & Support Center managers on matters relating to performance management, exit & termination management, as well as conduct internal investigations. This role is based out of our Center City office in Philadelphia office and reports to the VP of People & Culture.   • Company cell phone and laptop Responsibilities:
  • Partner with the leadership team to understand and execute the organization's human resource strategy particularly as it relates to current attraction, retention, and succession planning
  • Provide consultative support and strategic guidance on HR topics. This includes, but not limited to, employee relations, performance management, and ongoing strategic initiatives
  • Oversee the administration of disciplinary matters, disputes, and investigations
  • Lead the planning and implementation of employee engagement survey, including analyzing impact, activating action items, and designing follow up priorities and communication plan
  • Manage and enhance employee benefits, including compensation, health insurance, 401K, and expense reimbursement programs.
  • Analyze trends in compensation and benefits; research and propose competitive base and incentive programs to ensure the organization attracts and retains top talent
  • Manage the performance appraisal process, collaborate with departmental leaders to understand skills and competencies for positions throughout the organization.
  • Work with leadership to create learning and development programs and initiatives that provide internal development opportunities for employees
  • Participate in interdepartmental meeting with leadership teams across the organization
  • Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations including but not limited to all applicable wage and hour laws and regulations related to Fair Work Week, FMLA< OSHA< EEO and ADA and recommend best practices; review policies and practices to maintain compliance
  • Maintain knowledge of trends, best practices, regulatory changes, and new technologies in human resources and employment law
  • Performs other duties as assigned
  • Bachelor’s degree in human resources, Business Administration, or related field required
  • A minimum of five years of direct human resource management experience required
  • SHRM-CP or SHRM-SCP highly desired
  • Experience working with a global organization
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Excellent interpersonal, negotiation, and conflict resolution skills
  • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to prioritize tasks and to delegate them when appropriate
  • Ability to act with integrity, professionalism, and confidentiality
  • Thorough knowledge of employment-related laws and regulations
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite or related software
  • Proficiency with or the ability to quickly learn the organizations HRIS and talent management systems
