Generate:Biomedicines was founded in 2018 by Flagship Pioneering and has received nearly $700 millionin funding, providing the resources to rapidly scale the organization. The Company has offices in Somerville and Andover, Massachusetts with over 275 employees.

The Role:

The Generate People and Culture (P&C) team is on a mission to create an environment where Generators from all backgrounds can thrive and are enabled to contribute their best. We are recruiting an innovative People Operations Consultant to lead the strategy, design, and execution of Employee Support, Content Management, and HR Processes, Policies, Procedures, & Compliance. This is a critical position on an innovative People and Culture team and a role deeply integrated with other functional areas across P&C, Finance, Legal, and the business.

Successful candidates will be data-driven and business-focused, passionate about creating superior employee experiences through operations, planning, and execution. In our fast-paced, start-up environment, you must be comfortable building and evolving programs and processes. You are passionate about creating capacity by streamlining and automating work, leveraging digital tools to improve the employee experience, and providing exceptional service delivery and process execution.

This role reports to our Vice President of employee Experience, Strategy, and operations and can be based in our Somerville, MA office or be hybrid.

Here's how you will contribute:

  • Plan, design, build, and deploy an lead an industry-leading and innovative P&C Technology-driven and AI-first support model.
  • Establish operational metrics and KPIs to monitor and improve operations.
  • Working Independently, working across P&C and the business to design and deploy operational processes, ensuring a frictionless experience.
  • Independently exercises judgment and discretion to define the issues and develop solutions to problems that require innovation and ingenuity.
  • Coordinates and collaborates with peers and stakeholders to influence business outcomes.
  • Leads partnerships with external vendors regarding operations of the P&C function.
  • Identify opportunities to automate processes, transactions, and dataflows between systems and manually enter data where this does not exist. This includes, but is not limited to, new hire processes, benefits administration, immigration, background checks, job changes, etc.
  • Establish a content management strategy to ensure employees, leaders, and P&C can access robust information about P&C programs, processes, policies, and projects. Develop a governance process to ensure content accuracy and consistency.
  • Using innovative, AI-driven tools, you will enable content owners to easily create clear, concise, and informative content, resulting in a delightful experience for our personas as they seek answers to their questions.
  • Inventory all P&C processes and document critical operational steps into procedures. Seek ways to automate using technology, AI, and automation tools.
  • Ensures compliance by monitoring external legislation and in partnership with P&C leadership, Finance, and Legal, own the creation and management of all P&C policies.
  • Keep your finger on the pulse of ever-evolving employment laws and regulations. Ensure our company policies and practices remain in strict compliance. Collaborate with legal experts when navigating complex issues.
  • Execute transactions in people and culture systems, ensuring our systems are aligned with the business.
  • Will lead and deliver additional projects independently and lead cross-functional teams.

The Ideal Candidate will have:

  • 6+ Years of progressive experience in Human Resources.
  • Pushes beyond existing knowledge and contributes to developing new innovations, theories, or methods.
  • A combination of experience in both high-growth and more established organizations.
  • Demonstrated ability to build capabilities in a fast-paced environment with evolving infrastructure.
  • Exceptional skills in prioritization, managing multiple projects, and fostering effective collaboration.
  • A B.A. or B.S. degree in human resources, business, or other relevant subject area is preferred, but not required.
