Job Description

As a Pharmacist Operations Advisor (RPh Advisor), you will play a pivotal role in directly supporting Medicare Part D members and providers with pharmacy benefit requests. Your responsibilities include ensuring accurate case setup, reviewing clinical information, conducting outreach to providers when necessary, and making decisions in compliance with compendia, Medicare guidance, and timelines. Key Responsibilities

• Dispense prescriptions and coordinate clinical services for specialty drugs.
• Interact with healthcare professionals to provide and coordinate customer care.
• Translate prescriptions, perform compounding, and dispense prescribed pharmaceuticals.
• Communicate with patients and physicians via telephone or mail for patient care.
• Resolve orders via the EA (External Adjudication) queue.
• Review patient profiles, drug interactions, sensitivities, and drug usage.
• Determine if prescriptions require physician clarification or follow-up.
• Assist in patient services, including taking incoming prescription medication questions/concerns.
• Maintain quality assurance procedures, secure controlled substances, and manage hazardous waste drugs.
• Perform final dispensing quality checks on all prescriptions for accuracy and dosage.
  
  

Experience & Education Requirements

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Bachelor's degree in Pharmacy or Pharm D. required.
• At least two years of experience as a Pharmacist, with previous pharmacy experience in retail or hospital preferred.
• Experience in home infusion therapy is a plus.
• Strong organizational, interpersonal, and detail-oriented skills are essential.
• Must have an active Pharmacist license in good standing in the state of residence.
  
  

Working Conditions

• This is a work-from-home position. Candidates must have a dedicated, quiet, and separate workspace.
• Must have a wired internet connection with a minimum of 25 Mbps download and 5 Mbps upload speed. A screenshot of internet speed is required with the resume.
  
  

Training & Schedule

• Training Schedule:
• Attendance is crucial during the initial 8 weeks of training. The new hire must be available Monday to Friday from 9 AM to 5:30 PM EST. No vacation time should be planned during this period.

• After training, work hours will be between 8 AM to 8 PM EST/CST, Monday to Friday, with rotating weekend schedules.
