Under minimal supervision, responsible for providing a variety of supportive duties related to the accurate and timely completion of drug prior authorizations for the Hemophilia Treatment Center.

Responsibilities
Responsible for completing specialty drug prior authorizations including the appeals and denials.
Collaborates with healthcare providers, payors, and pharmacies to facilitate the prior authorization process.
Consults with patients to explain medications, side effects, and dosages; answer patient questions; and identify medication adherence issues.
Maintains complete, accurate and timely documentation of all appropriate information per operating standards.
Performs duties related to the storing and recording of sample pharmaceuticals and conducts routine audits.
Performs all other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
Knowledge of basic inventory procedures.
Knowledge of computer and technology systems and software including pharmacy information systems.
Excellent customer service skills.
Excellent verbal, written and interpersonal communications skills.
Education
High school diploma or GED is required.
License And Certification
Certification as CPhT, Certified Pharmacy Technician.
Preferred
Epic experience highly preferred.
Bilingual (Spanish) a plus.
Required Skills
Four (4) years experience as a pharmacy technician is required.
