Photo Production Assistant will assist Senior Creative Producer in the photography and content production process to support specified creative and marketing goals.
They will facilitate the management of the photo/content process for Client's, print, special projects, social and video related projects.
This will include high level managing internal and external resources, casting models, photographers, stylists and vendors to produce content consistent with Client's brand strategy.
Seeking an individual who is interested in being a proactive team member.
This is an on-site role.
Roles & Responsibilities
Work closely with the Executive Creative Director, Creative Director, Art Directors, and Project Planners to prepare for upcoming shoots.
Assist in producing photo shoots by maintaining and organizing Creative production areas such as the Prop closet and the Product/Merchandise Closet.
Prepare for shoots by pulling and organizing products and merchandise.
This will involve packing and unpacking and a high level of detail and organization.
Prepare for shoots by sourcing internally and organizing props or surfaces as needed.
Prepping Photo Studio each morning and evening
Provide on set assistance day of shoots and maintain shoot schedules.
Communicating all needs to the internal and external teams day of shoot.
Manage post-production needs to ensure internal production teams receive all necessary information. Coordination, tracking and delivery of creative assets for the retouching team
Cast, negotiate and book models for photography, video and special projects. Consistently source talent that meets our brand standards and regularly update the library of approved models. This includes keeping the model pool current by holding regular casting sessions.
Source models, photographers, stylists, hair stylists, makeup artists for shoots.
Assist in maintaining photo shoot and department budgets in partnership with the Senior Creative Producer.
This includes the creation of estimates and submitting/processing invoices.
Ensure that Client's standards are always upheld on set.
Attend appropriate meetings that relate to projects when required.
Minimum Qualifications
Focus, productivity, teamwork, and time management are essential
Extremely organized, detail-oriented, and creative
2+ years of photo production experience in the studio and on location.
Prior experience in a fast-paced and dynamic creative environment.
Solid knowledge of top agencies, photographers, models, etc.
Ability to communicate clearly and demonstrate leadership.
Must be willing to collaborate and promote teamwork
Strong work ethic with an ability to be flexible and calm under pressure
Must understand the nuances of using both digital and film photography
Will be required to learn internal accounting system
This position may require travel
Video experience is a plus but not necessary
