We have an opportunity for a top candidate to join Maryville College’s staff as the new Photographer/Videographer.
In collaboration with colleagues inside the Office of Marketing & Communications, the College’s Photographer/Videographer helps tell the story of Maryville College through high-quality videos, photographs, live-stream events, and other multimedia content for the College’s digital properties and printed publications. This position is responsible for capturing and archiving the official images of the institution. The Photographer/Videographer works full-time hours, with some flexible shifts, including weekends and evenings, depending on when events are scheduled to take place.

This position is responsible for capturing and archiving the official images of the institution. Your Primary Job Duties And Responsibilities Would Include
- Creating plans, scripts, storyboards, and schedules for photoshoots, videos, and instructional videos.
- Shooting and editing photos and video for the College’s website, social media pages, publications, and other marketing channels, as well as helping with live-stream events.
- Capturing images at key campus events and providing portrait photography of College employees, groups, and select students.
- Maintaining a digital library of image files so that it is searchable by colleagues and archived for future use.
- Collaborating regularly on projects and initiatives with colleagues in the Marketing & Communications Office, as well as other departments on campus.
- Managing multiple projects concurrently; setting and meeting deadlines.
- Building and maintaining effective relationships with key campus clients, media contacts, and commercial videographers and photographers.
Education required to ensure success in this position:
- Bachelor's degree in Electronic Media, Broadcasting, Journalism, or a related field.
- Equivalent professional experience may be considered in lieu of degree.
- Minimum of 3 years’ experience in electronic media, communications, and/or marketing, preferred.
- Experience with website content, posting, preferred.
- Experience with both GoPro and drone equipment/shooting. Drone operating experience, preferred.
- Proficiency with Adobe Premier, After Effects, and Photoshop
- Familiarity with other related Adobe Creative Suite products
- Proficiency with Mac computers
- Expertise in non-linear editing
- Proficiency with lighting related to photography and videography
- Proficiency with digital cameras and studio equipment
- Basic computer skills are required, which includes the use of the Microsoft Office suite of products.
