Duties:
- Select appropriate music for each weekly service in consultation with the Catholic priest
- Submit a proposed plan for the music to be performed each week
- Conduct one-hour rehearsal sessions weekly
- Prepare and present slides with lyrics for each service if requested
- Recruit and train vocalists and instrumentalists from the congregation
- Direct the choir and manage musical aspects during the service, ensuring a blend of traditional, contemporary, and new age music styles as appropriate
- Coordinate the setup and proper placement of microphones and other audio equipment
- Ensure all equipment is properly stored after each service
- Experience leading a worship service preferred
- Ability to read and play traditional, contemporary, and new age music
- Familiarity with current liturgical traditions of the Catholic Church
- Ability to play piano and/ororgan, direct a choir, and sing
- Capability to recruit and train vocalists and instrumentalists from the congregation
- Competence in reading, writing, speaking, and understanding English
