Responsibilities:

• Manage the centralized accounting for plants using the Oracle accounting system including leading the financial statement close.
• Manage the balance sheet for plants using the Oracle accounting system including monthly balance sheet reconciliations and resolution of reconciliation issues.
• Lead the Oracle ERP monthly close including monitoring the opening and closing of modules.
• Support the Oracle costing functionality by participating in plant implementations and post go-live support.
• Manage the intercompany and intersystem balance sheet accounts to ensure they remain in balance.
• Assist in preparing quarterly review and yearly audit schedules.
• Respond to questions from internal departments and external auditors.
• Develop and maintain effective, professional and respectful working relationships.
• Participate in a wide variety of projects or tasks as assigned.
• Orient, train, coach and discipline employee(s).
• Communicate job expectations and appraise job performance.
• Supervises Accountants and Clerks as applicable.

Qualifications:

• Minimum of 5 years related experience
• CPA preferred
• Excellent oral and written communication skills, knowledge of current Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP), public accounting experience a plus.
• Knowledge of Oracle and Hyperion Essbase a plus.
• Strong research and analytical skills in researching account reconciliation differences. Exceptional analytical skills and the ability to understand the impact of operations on our financial results.
• Advanced knowledge of Excel and the ability to work comfortably with other programs in Microsoft Office.
• Solid organizational abilities to manage multiple tasks, priorities and deadlines.

Education:

• Bachelor’s degree in accounting and 5 years in financial/general ledger accounting or auditing.
