Production Superintendent Needed for Industry Leading Building Materials Manufacturing Firm

A global building materials manufacturing firm is looking for a Production Superintendent to help oversee the Operations team.

Reporting directly to the Plant Manager, this leader will leverage a strong manufacturing leadership background to help facilitate production. They will oversee and manage the day-to-day operations of the plant floor.

The Production Superintendent will have the following responsibilities

• Guarantees production compliance with all industry and company regulations
• Ensure GMP and sanitations standards are met
• Lead the day-to-day production operations of the Packaging and Maintenance teams
• Maintain a continuous improvement driven environment
• Manage a team of salaried and hourly employees
• Ensure that daily KPIs and fulfillment goals are being optimized
• Employ Lean initiative throughout all team processes
• Guarantee efficiency of ERP system processes
• Coordinate OSHA trainings and safety meetings
• Oversee all daily line performance metrics and implement improvements where necessary

The ideal candidate will have the following:

• Bachelor’s Degree in Operations, Engineering, Management, Business or related field preferred
• 5+ years manufacturing operations experience
• 2+ years of supervisory / management experience
• Experience managing both salaried and hourly employees
• Some ERP based knowledge preferred
• Chemical or Building Materials manufacturing experience
