Plant Manager

We are currently looking for a Plant Manager for our Reno, Nevada facility.

POSITION SUMMARY: Coordinate all plant activities either directly or through subordinate supervision. Manage plant operations to ensure that corporate goals for safety, product quality, service, cost control, and employee satisfaction are met. Establish and maintain effective working relationships internally and externally.

Duties And Responsibilities

  • Direct production, sanitation, maintenance, and warehouse functions at the site.
  • Provide supervision to Plant staff to ensure that they have adequate direction, training and resources to perform their tasks.
  • Design and implement operating practices for the site, ensuring compliance with GMPs, and following the principles of Lean Manufacturing. These practices must be maintained as Standard Operating Procedures
  • Support and maintain the requirements of an SQF L3 certified plant.
  • Strive for the achievement of Individual, Plant, and Pacific Cheese goals. Monitor performance through metrics and report performance through scorecards and performance appraisals.
  • Establish objectives for Plant staff. Manage their performances through regular feedback, coaching, and performance reviews.
  • Collaborate with all support functions (Sales, Quality Assurance, Supply Chain, Finance, etc.) to ensure that their business objectives are met.
  • Manage projects to defined budget, schedule and scope. Report progress following Project Management process.
  • Maintain adherence to company policies and procedures related to Employee Relations and Employee Conduct
  • Review and analyze plant operational reports implementing corrective action as required. Provide reports as required to Pacific Cheese colleagues.
  • Develop plant budget and provide periodic review with subordinate staff.
