Podcast Producer

CHSN is seeking an experienced Podcast Producer to strategize, plan, and execute efforts to build awareness and grow audiences for CHSN podcast channels. This role will assist in the development of social content that will support our programming priorities and drive revenue. The Podcast Producer will produce and edit digital audio and video content to support brand KPI’s and will be comfortable working in a fast-paced and cross-functional environment where we are eager to test and learn while growing our business.

Essential Duties And Responsibilities

• Work with internal talent on the creation, development, and production of the CHSN video podcast channel
• Manage all aspects of production studio including scheduling, equipment maintenance, content planning, production, and distribution as well as collaborative edits of long-form videos
• Develop strategies to engage audiences, build fan communities, and raise awareness of podcast channel
• Collaborate with the PR/Communications team to develop strategies to support audience growth
• Ensure that podcasts run smoothly and effectively while maintaining studio, reviewing inventory/requesting equipment repairs or replacements (as needed)
• Review ongoing projects, ensuring cohesive archival of content
• Improve the podcast channel’s performance by monitoring, evaluating, and providing recommendations
• Work with the PR/communications team to identify and prepare key hosts and guests
• Develop synergy and integrated marketing executions with strategic brand partners including the Bulls, Blackhawks, and White Sox
  
  

Minimum Qualifications And Requirements

• BA/BS
• 4+ years podcast/studio experience
• Social media experience preferred
• Excellent news judgment and storytelling skills
• The ability to collaborate and work with diverse stakeholders
• Capable of working in a fast-paced environment
• Familiarity with professional cameras, various HD and 4K formats, pre-production/planning, field production and scriptwriting
  
  

The Chicago Sports Network (CHSN) will launch in October across multiple platforms. The network will air more than 300 live Blackhawks, Bulls and White Sox games annually and include pre- and postgame coverage while showing multisport programming 24 hours a day. CHSN will broadcast from studios located in both Chicago's United Center and Guaranteed Rate Field. The network will start airing Blackhawks and Bulls preseason games in October, showing White Sox games beginning in 2025.
