JXB Radio Network is an independent consortium of artists, media creators, and television and radio professionals who collaborate to produce projects that reflect our personalities, values, and creative vision. Since 1995, we have been involved in the creation and production of award-winning content, including shows like Complete Garbage, The Turnbuckle Report, WMLT Hockey Night, Ground Zero, Planet Ralph, The Superblastomatic Fun Show, Beyond the Reel, and more. We operate on our own terms, creating video, audio, podcasts, and art.

Role Description

This is an internship and volunteer position. There is no pay outside of earning experience.

We are currently seeking a podcast producer for a brand new podcast in development. This is a chance to get in from the ground up. The podcast is about the celebration of beards and beard culture which will include everything from music, movies, pop culture and beyond.

As a Podcast Producer, you will be responsible for various day-to-day tasks related to podcast production, including coordinating and researching guests, helping to create episode outlines, and assisting with managing production schedules.

Other tasks as necessary.

Qualifications

• Strong organizational and time management skills
• Ability to research and identify potential guests
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to work independently and remotely
• Passion for storytelling and audio content creation
• Experience in video or audio production is a plus but not required.
• Be a cool person. We want to work with cool people.
• Be unapologetic about who you are and embrace your weird if it exists.
• Must be able to use Discord for team communication.
