PR Manager/Director

The Citizens of Humanity Group PR Manager/Director will lead all US public relations activities across the company’s family of brands including Citizens of Humanity and AGOLDE. They will play a key role in the development, on-going management, and growth of the brands for optimal and meaningful brand exposure in the market. This person will work collaboratively and cross-functionally alongside the international PR teams, sales, brand marketing, digital, and creative teams to ensure our global business goals and brand initiatives are aligned and supported. This is a full-time position will report directly into the Senior Director of Brand Marketing and Communications.


We are hiring this position for either New York or Los Angeles.


RESPONSIBLITIES:

  • Manage the Citizens of Humanity Group US PR team including PR Manager, PR Assistant, and PR interns.
  • Develop press strategies for optimal brand exposure and work closely with design, sales, ecommerce, creative, marketing and branding teams to continue to build and further grow each brand in the market.
  • Create press materials for product launches, collaborations, magazine launches, and events to support key objectives.
  • Secure meaningful coverage across both print and online media for all brands in the Citizens of Humanity Group with a focus on the company’s sustainability initiatives.
  • Conceptualize and oversee the execution of all brand events.
  • Oversee all seasonal gifting, content partnerships, and outreach programs to promote collection launches and company initiatives.
  • Drive philanthropic initiatives from a PR perspective including PR promotional giftings, securing talent involvement, event execution, as well as communicating all efforts to key media.
  • Foster strong press and industry relationships.


QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE:

  • Bachelor’s Degree
  • 7+ years of experience in PR and events, ideally gained from the fashion industry
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills
  • Understanding, appreciation, and articulation of the brand
  • A solid, collaborative team player with management experience
  • Strong multitasking ability and organization skills
  • A high-energy, self-starter spirit
  • Proven relationships within the fashion industry
  • Solid computer skills, including Excel, Word, and PowerPoint
