Our client is a top tier global law firm, continuously ranked on the Amlaw100.


Currently, they are looking for a Pricing Manager to join their Pricing Finance team.


This is a hybrid role (2 days in office) and can be based out of their New York or Washington DC office.


Reporting into the Associate Director of Pricing and Head of Pricing - the Pricing Manager will oversee a team of 2-4 Pricing Analysts / Senior Pricing Analysts. They will be responsible for driving pricing initiatives forward, developing the Pricing staff, and support Practice Groups with pricing strategy.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement effective pricing strategies to maximize profitability
  • Ensure pricing competitiveness in the legal services market
  • Perform detailed financial analysis and create pricing scenarios in support of the development of pricing alternatives in response to client requests and RFP's
  • Identify financial trends and alternative fee arrangement best practices and recommend improvements accordingly
  • Collaborate with business development and marketing team to create and implement competitive pricing strategies
  • Educate attorneys on pricing models
  • Drive the development of creative pricing solutions to meet client business objectives
  • Provide insight and support to attorneys in developing pricing proposals and matter budgets, including leveraging templates and historical financial and matter data
  • Enhance and develop systems for tracking matter budgets and alternative fee arrangements
  • Continuously mentor and train pricing team staff
  • Ad hoc reports and projects


Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics or related
  • 5+ years of Financial Pricing experience, with at least 2 years being in the legal sector
  • Legal Pricing experience - REQUIRED
  • Supervisory experience (direct or indirect reports)
  • Advanced Excel
  • Proven track record of developing and mentoring junior staff members
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills
  • Ability to effectively communicate financial strategy and findings to diverse audience and non-finance professionals
