Role Overview: We are seeking a dedicated Principal Engineer with stamping experience to ensure legal compliance and oversee telecommunications design and build projects. This role will involve collaborating with internal and external stakeholders, managing risk, and continuously improving processes to meet regulatory requirements and project goals.
Responsibilities
- Ensure legal compliance with applicable laws, regulations, and permits related to telecommunications design and build standards.
- Review and assume responsible charge of projects, including reviewing and sealing permit applications.
- Collaborate extensively with internal teams and external stakeholders to meet project requirements and address concerns.
- Identify and assess risks, develop mitigation strategies, and implement controls.
- Continuously evaluate and enhance standards and processes to improve efficiency and effectiveness.
- Prepare reports, maintain accurate records, and provide regular updates to stakeholders.
- Stay updated with industry trends, best practices, and regulatory changes.
- Comprehensive understanding of telecommunications standards and processes.
- Knowledge of legal principles, contracts, and agreements related to telecommunications.
- Familiarity with AutoCAD, Pole Loading Analysis tools, and geospatial/GIS tools.
- Experience with USDA standards, processes, and policies is preferred.
- Experience with municipalities, DOTs, Counties, and other governing bodies is preferred.
- Proven leadership abilities to provide professional feedback and training.
- Excellent negotiation, influencing, and conflict resolution skills.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills to collaborate with stakeholders.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and stakeholders effectively.
- Strategic mindset aligned with organizational goals.
- Bachelor's degree in civil engineering, urban planning, or related field.
- P.E. Certification required (Licensed in California).
- Experience with traffic design criteria such as MUTCD, CADOT, FDOT Green Book.
- Physical Demands:
- Work is typically performed in an office setting.
- Occasional travel may be required.
