Principal/Senior Scientist, Peptide Synthesis

This pioneer company in Biotech is looking to support and promote a talented Senior/Principal Scientist who will assist in advancing cutting edge drug discovery peptide synthesis for metabolic and endocrine medicines. The ideal professional will have a strong background in organic synthesis (specifically peptides) and CRO interaction as well as an eagerness to join and contribute to a tight knit, mutually supportive community of skilled experts.

What you will do:

• Participate in all aspects of drug substance from discovery through late stage development.
• Design, synthesize and characterize peptides, small proteins and chemically-modified analogs using state-of-the-art synthesis, bioconjugation, purification, analytical and biophysical techniques.
• Independent data-driven optimization of peptide and small molecule SAR.
  
  
  

Who you are:

• PhD with 3+ years experience with peptide and/or small molecule synthesis.
• Experience interfacing with external manufacturing teams is a plus.
• Proficient in all aspects of modern peptide and small molecule synthesis, bioconjugation, purification and analysis; capable of immediate independent laboratory work on solid- and solution-phase chemistry
• This role is in a 100% virtual lab, so there will be no hands on bench work.
  
  
  

What does this position pay?

• Compensation is determined by several factors which may include skillset, experience level, and geographic location. The expected range for this role is $110,000 to $170,000 per year. Please note this range is an estimate and actual pay may vary based on qualifications and experience.
