Are you passionate about teaching without the classroom politics? We're seeking a dedicated teacher to create and teach honors-level ELA for 5th to 10th-grade students using cutting-edge technologies. This position offers the flexibility of remote teaching with all necessary equipment provided.
Position Highlights
Flexibility: Full-time or part-time positions available with a fixed 4-hour schedule. Opportunities for additional hours are also available.
Engaging Environment: Teach engaged students in a small, private co-op school with smaller class sizes.
Collaborative Team: Join a team of collaborative teachers dedicated to helping students reach their full potential.
Key Responsibilities
Teach honors-level ELA courses for junior high and high school students, focusing on reading, grammar, spelling, and writing.
Develop and implement lesson plans and instructional materials for core subjects, creating engaging learning experiences.
Evaluate student progress, maintain records, and prepare progress reports.
Administer standardized tests in accordance with state testing programs.
Utilize a variety of instructional strategies to engage and motivate students.
Recommend books and instructional aids as needed.
Participate in the evaluation process with the appropriate administrator.
Requirements
Bachelor's Degree in Education required; Master's or PhD preferred.
Valid US State Teaching License for junior high or high school education; ELA endorsement is a plus.
Minimum of 5 years of honors-level teaching experience in Language Arts (excluding Teacher's Aid positions or ESL).
Advanced writing and grammar skills with the ability to teach these critical skills.
Tech-savvy and comfortable with new software.
Knowledge of Latin is a plus, but not required.
Reliable internet connection and a professional home setup for remote teaching.
