Proactive Executive Assistant for Strategic Research Firm

We are seeking a proactive Executive Assistant (EA) to join our progressive Washington, DC-based team. The EA will play a pivotal role in supporting our Executive Office by managing daily operations and ensuring seamless communication within the organization. This role offers flexibility with remote work options, as well as the opportunity for on-site collaboration in Washington, D.C.

Responsibilities

  • Manage and prioritize the executive partner’s calendar, including scheduling and organizing meetings.
  • Represent the executive office in team meetings, ensuring efficient project and calendar management.
  • Prepare and coordinate internal and external meetings, compiling necessary documents and follow-up materials.
  • Assist in drafting and reviewing executive communications, reports, and correspondence.
  • Handle travel arrangements and logistics for the executive office.
  • Maintain office operations in Washington, D.C., including mail sorting and occasional on-site meeting support.
  • Manage invoicing, expense reporting, and budget tracking for the executive office.
  • Collaborate with leadership to optimize workflow processes and streamline procedures.
  • Support special projects across research, sales, and communications teams.

Qualifications

  • Minimum 2 years of experience in politics, political campaigns, research, media, or social advocacy.
  • Previous experience supporting executives or political candidates is essential.
  • Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, Teams).
  • Ability to independently solve problems and implement workflow improvements.
  • Familiarity with tools such as Asana, Slack, and Outlook for process automation.
  • Flexibility to travel to our Washington, D.C. office as needed (up to 40%).
  • Awareness of current political and cultural events is advantageous.

Salary And Benefits

  • Annual Salary Range: \(60,000-\)70,000.
